Individual Therapy

Individual counselling sessions are held in a safe, confidential physical or online space where you explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with a therapist to address personal challenges, gain insight, and work towards goals. Some common goals can be to manage emotions, build a more robust self-image, learn coping strategies, improve communication, resolve past trauma, identify and maintain personal boundaries. Outcomes counselling clients report are better self-awareness and self-acceptance, more sophisticated communication skills, better emotional regulation and more satisfying interpersonal relationships.

Our therapists are educated in the areas of sexuality, gender, neurodivergence, and altsex practices exploration in addition to having lived experience in those domains and being active members of LGBTQIA+ community. They provide affirming support using somatic and talking therapy including Somatic Internal Family Systems therapy (SIFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Emotion Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Emotional Freedom Technique.
